Valuable desk from the 1940s produced in cantù (Italy) for the ‘Permanente mobili cantù’ most likely based on a design by Paolo Buffa.
The desk has a black lacquered structure with maple details while the elegant inlay on the central drawer is in walnut.
Handles and keys are in brass and the top is in gold glass.
There is a stamp ‘Permanente Mobili Cantù’ under one of the drawer and there is another stamp under the glass as you can see in the last picture.
Completely restored.
