This Art Deco secrétaire was produced in Italy in the 1940s.
It is completely made of an elegant maple briar, with black lacquered and gold leafed details.
In particular, some of the profiles, the handles and the fine line rhomboidal decoration on the frontal door and drawers are black lacquered. The rhombus shaped decoration, the profiles of the top and of the base are covered in esteemed gold leaf.
The gem of this piece of furniture the upper door, which can become a writing surface itself and the interiors feature a lot of little drawers and receptacles.
The secretaire also features four wide drawers.
It is very pleasing both aesthetically and from a functionality point of view.
This secrétaire has been completely restored in our laboratories.
