This elegant pair of Art Deco nightstands was produced in Italy, more precisely in Cantù, which is a small city in the north of Italy that used to be famous in the Art Deco era for wood crafting and furniture making. They were produced in the 1940s most likely based on a design bu Paolo Buffa for the exhibition called ‘la Permanente Mobili Cantù’, in fact on the inside of one door there is a stamp which certify its origins.
The doors of the nightstands are in precious parchment, the top is in black glass, while the legs and the profile are black lacquered. Handles and tips are in brass.
The insides are wide, capacious and really elegant as they are in precious wood.
This nightstands, have been finely restored in our laboratories using a conservative restoration. So they are in perfect conditions and they maintain their original and unique historical beauty.
Also, we recommend you to have a look at the matching commode that could complete the bedroom.
